The defending champion Las Vegas Aces (4-3) return home looking to bounce back after a rough road loss to the Golden State Valkyries. They’ll host the Los Angeles Sparks (4-5) in a rematch with growing Western Conference implications. This is the second meeting between the two squads this season. In their first matchup, the Aces outpaced the Sparks 96-81 behind strong performances from A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young.
The Aces are eager to bounce back after a tough loss to Golden State this past Saturday. Although the team isn’t off to the start they had hoped for, star player A’ja Wilson is once again looking like a strong MVP candidate. A’ja has been dominant in the paint, averaging 26 points and 11 rebounds. Tonight, she will be the focal point of the team as they face the Sparks, who will once again be without one of their best centers, rookie sensation Cameron Brink, due to injury.
The Sparks are looking for a bounce-back win after their loss to Golden State on Monday. Kelsey Plum is adapting to her new role with the team, averaging 17.8 points and bringing a fiery energy to the Sparks’ backcourt. The Sparks are a young, hungry, and improving team, and they aim to get their revenge against the Aces tonight.
