Cobe Bryant, D.J. Stuckey, and Tavis Malakius set for Tropical Bowl Saturday

Three former UNLV football linemen are scheduled to play in Saturday’s Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

The postseason collegiate all-star game, which started in 2015, is being held for the first time at Camping World Stadium in the Sunshine State and available to watch through pay-per-view with a 1 p.m. PT kickoff (TropicalBow.com).

This year’s bowl is scheduled to include Rebel offensive linemen D.J. Stuckey and Cobe Bryant and defensive lineman Tavis Malakius.

Trio Of Former UNLV Football Rebels

Stuckey will wear jersey No. 71 and Bryant No. 65 for the National Team, which will be coached by Jim Collins, while Malakius will wear No. 92 for the American Team, coached by Todd Littlejohn.

This will mark just the third time that more than two Rebels will appear in the same postseason all-star game, following the 2002 and 2003 All-American Classic games held in Las Vegas. Only two UNLV alumni have appeared in the Tropical Bowl – linebacker Gabe McCoy in 2019 and offensive lineman Nathan Jacobson in 2018.
