The Golden Knights are set to face the Detroit Red Wings at T-Mobile Arena for their second matchup in six days. In their first encounter in Detroit, the Red Wings secured a victory with an 18-save shutout performance by Petr Mrazek. However, the Golden Knights rebounded impressively in their next game, dominating the Boston Bruins with a 5-1 win, highlighted by Pavel Dorofeyev’s hat trick. Meanwhile, the Red Wings fell to the Washington Capitals, losing 4-1 in Washington, D.C.

With only 14 games remaining for Detroit, earning points is crucial as they currently sit four points outside of a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Golden Knights remain at the top of the Pacific Division with 88 points, just one point ahead of the Edmonton Oilers but will have a game in hand after tonight’s match.

In tonight’s game, history was made at T-Mobile Arena, and let’s just say that many fans might need to purchase new hats!
