The Golden Knights (25-8-3) are aiming to finish 2024 with a victory over the Montreal Canadiens (16-17-3). A win would tie them for first place in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets, who currently have 55 points but have played two more games than the Knights. Montreal enters this matchup on a two-game winning streak, with their most recent victory being a 5-2 win against Tampa Bay. In their last meeting in late November at the historic Bell Centre in Montreal, the Golden Knights dominated, winning 6-2.
