Hajj Malik-Williams and the Rebels high powered offense takes down San Diego State

The scarlet and grey are back at Allegiant Stadium for another Mountain West matchup against the San Diego State Aztecs (3-6, 3-3). The UNLV Rebels (7-3, 3-1) are looking to maintain their momentum in the Mountain West race, having secured a 29-27 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in the ninth island showdown in Honolulu this past Saturday. They aim to earn another conference win against the Aztecs. The Rebels will wear customized helmets to show its appreciation to all branches of the United States military and will celebrate and honor all current and previous serving members.

Historically, the Rebels have struggled against San Diego State, as the Aztecs have won eight of the last nine meetings. However, UNLV has been dominant against non-ranked teams, winning seven of their last eight games. The Rebels are also striving to finish the season with double-digit wins; the last time this happened was in 1984 when Randall Cunningham led the team to an 11-2 record.

On the other hand, San Diego State is coming off a tough loss to New Mexico last Friday, falling 21-16. The Aztecs have lost their last three games, and if they want any chance of qualifying for a bowl game, they must win all their remaining games this season to reach the necessary six victories.
