Golden Knights special teams help snap three game skid

The Golden Knights (3-2-1) return to T-Mobile Arena after a challenging road trip on the East Coast. They went 0-2-1 during their three-game away stretch and are looking to get back in the win column against their rivals from the West, the Los Angeles Kings (3-1-2).

For the Golden Knights, Shea Theodore will be unavailable due to illness, which means Kaedan Korczak will make his first start of the season for Vegas. Ilya Samsonov will take the net against the Kings after a strong performance against the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers, where he stopped 45 out of 49 shots.

The LA Kings, concluding a seven-game road trip to start the season necessitated by renovations at Crypto Center, are on a two-game winning streak. They secured back-to-back 4-1 victories over the Anaheim Ducks and the Montreal Canadiens. However, they will still be without veteran defenseman Drew Doughty, who suffered an injury during the preseason against Vegas.

While it has been a bit of a struggle for the Golden Knights these past few games, tonight’s game looked a lot different for the boys in gold.
