Fans of any sport will have their eyes set on the city of Las Vegas in September as the city will host some of the biggest sporting events of the year.
Modelo Vegas Kickoff Classic:
USC and LSU, two of the nation’s powerhouse football programs, will headline the Vegas Kickoff Classic at Allegiant Stadium in 2024. The neutral-site game will take place over Labor Day weekend, airing on ABC.
None of the events occurring in September is bigger than Noche UFC, UFC’s special pay-per-view fight to celebrate Mexican Independence Day weekend. This event, on September 14, will be the first of its kind as it will take place inside the Sphere.
Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will headline the fight as he will defend his title against Merab Dvalishvili in the main event. Another title bout will take place as Alexa Grasso will defend her flyweight belt against Valentina Shevchenko.
The Sphere will be hosting its first live sporting event since opening up in September of 2022. Known for visually stunning concerts, the venue has started to dive into live events following the NHL draft in June.
UFC and boxing go head-to-head on Mexican Independence Day:
Combat sports fans will have plenty to watch on September 14 as Canelo Alvarez announced he will be defending his super middleweight titles against Edgar Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena.
Alvarez is continuing his annual tradition of fighting in Las Vegas during Mexican Independence Day weekend.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Baltimore Ravens:

The excitement of sports in the city will continue that weekend as the Raiders will take on the Ravens in Baltimore the next day. The Raiders have four games in September, including two against the Panthers and Browns at Allegiant Stadium.
Las Vegas Aces host Connecticut Sun:

For those looking to attend a game in Las Vegas that Sunday, the Aces will take on the Connecticut Sun on September 15. The Sun are currently the number two seed in the WNBA heading into the Olympic break whereas the Aces sit at the five seed.
Sports fans will need to clear their schedules as Las Vegas will be the place to be in September.
