LAS VEGAS (May 2023) – AREA15, the immersive art and entertainment district located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, announces new eatery, Kaia Handroll, will open inside the District. Slated to open in late spring 2023, Kaia Handroll promises to be a vibrant, modern take on sushi handrolls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors and techniques. In addition, AREA15 announces Chris Garcia as its new executive chef.
Joining AREA15’s current roster of out-of-this-world cuisine and cocktails, Kaia Handroll will feature cuisine as varied and dynamic as the ocean. Meaning “of the sea,” the concept will offer handroll selections and chef pairings including specialties such as lobster truffle, blue crab and bluefin tuna as well as classic and vegetarian options.
Drawing inspiration from water’s eminent strength, the space will also feature AI-generated artwork depicting powerful female characters. The intimate venue will include countertop bar seating and vibrant, water-inspired décor.
Guests can also look forward to seasonal sashimi varieties and starters such as the Japanese Caesar salad with furikake-parm crisp. Dessert will include several varieties of mochi and Japanese cheesecake with passionfruit caramel. Libations will span Japanese classics, including hot green tea and sake, as well as Japanese beer and whiskey. For guests wishing to order food on the go, Kaia will offer select to-go items, including chirashi bowls with rice, fish and vegetables.
Now hiring for a number of positions, including restaurant general manager, sushi chef, sushi food server, model hostess and steward, interested applicants can apply for positions at Kaia Handroll here.
