$3 million in Super Bowl legacy grants to be awarded to Las Vegas Non-profits by NFL Foundation

LAS VEGAS (Dec. 5, 2023) – Today, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee President & CEO Sam Joffray announced the launch of the Super Bowl Legacy Grant program. A partnership between the NFL FoundationLas Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities and its partners, the Super Bowl Legacy Grant program aims to create positive, lasting impact in the region by committing to invest $3 million into Las Vegas non-profits between now and Super Bowl LVIII.

At least 58 Super Bowl Legacy Grants will be divided across two categories: Pregame Grants, which awarded $1.2 million to immediate, high-impact community initiatives today, and Game Day Grants, a competitive grant opportunity, totaling $1.8 million, to local non-profits. Both categories offer unrestricted funding for projects and programs to permanently improve the lives of Southern Nevadans in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion; education; health and wellness; social justice; youth and young adults.

Pregame Grants: $1.2 Million in Grants Awarded to 29 Non-Profits

During a Super bowl LVIII Kickoff event held today at CAESARS FORUM, 29 non-profit organizations and initiatives were surprised with $1.2 million in total Pregame Grants. The NFL Foundation, Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities, and four partner organizations – Bank of America, Bank of Nevada, PNC Bank, and United Way of Southern Nevada – matched funds to widen the impact.

Game Day Grants: $1.8 Million in Grant Funding Available for Non-Profits to Apply

In honor of Super Bowl LVIII (58), the NFL Foundation, Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities and its partners will award additional non-restrictive grants across two award categories: 1) up to $5,800 to enhance projects, programs, or initiatives with legacy impact and 2) up to $58,000 supporting projects and programs that will extend a permanent impact on its beneficiaries.
