The Buffalo Bills defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 33-30, improving to 5-1 on the season while dropping Las Vegas to 3-3.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen completed 23 of 33 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a 112.6 passer rating. Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 23 of 41 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns, but threw one interception and finished with an 86.7 passer rating.
Las Vegas finished with 378 total yards of offense, including 313 passing yards, but struggled to establish a consistent ground game. The Raiders managed just 65 rushing yards, an area that could need improvement moving forward.
Mike Washington Jr. led the Raiders in rushing with nine carries for 43 yards, averaging 4.8 yards per carry with a long run of 18 yards. Ashton Jeanty added 10 carries for 22 yards, averaging 2.2 yards per attempt, with a long of 8 yards.
Wide receiver Tre Tucker led Las Vegas in receiving, recording five catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. His longest reception was a 44-yard touchdown. Tight end Michael Mayer also delivered a strong performance, finishing with seven receptions for 95 yards, a career high against Buffalo. Jeanty contributed four receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.
The Raiders scored 13 points in the first half, matching Buffalo’s first-half production. Las Vegas added 17 points in the second half, including a strong fourth-quarter push, but ultimately fell three points short.
Despite Cousins’ 313 passing yards and multiple touchdown connections, Las Vegas could not overcome Buffalo’s offense. The Raiders’ inability to generate consistent production on the ground proved to be a challenge in a game decided by a field goal.
The loss drops Las Vegas to 3-3, leaving the team at .500 through six games. The Raiders will look to rebound by improving their offensive balance and finding ways to finish close games.
