Our favorite Goth Mami Wants First Money in the Bank Win! – Rhea Ripley Revenge Tour

Our favorite Goth Mami — Gotika Culona pa’ los que hablan español — is officially back in the title picture. After a messy stretch that included losing her championship to our favorite Japanese baddie Iyo Sky (👉🏼🤪👈🏼), almost getting her way on WrestleMania 41 but ultimately yeeted out, and watching Liv Morgan steal Daddy Dom, Rhea Ripley is finally refocused.

A couple of weeks ago, fans got a taste of what could have been when Rhea and Iyo teamed up. They had chemistry. They had chaos. They had us wishing they’d run the division together. But after hitting the Iyo emote and then making it crystal clear she wasn’t there to make friends, Rhea reminded everyone why she’s different. She wants the title back.

And now, she’s one step closer. Rhea has officially qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on June 7 in Los Angeles. This could be her moment. This could be another monumental accolade to add to an already ridiculous resume.

Rhea debuted in 2014 and has become one of the most recognizable superstars in WWE. She’s a two-time Women’s World Champion, a Raw Women’s Champion, a Royal Rumble winner, a tag team champ, the fifth Grand Slam Champion and the seventh Triple Crown Champion. The only thing she hasn’t done is win Money in the Bank.

The briefcase has a perfect track record in the women’s division. Every woman who’s won it has cashed in and become champion. This year’s field is already stacked. Alexa Bliss earned her spot after beating Chelsea Green and Michin. Roxanne Perez pulled off an upset against Natalya and Becky Lynch, with a little help from our bird lady, Lyra Valkyria. Rhea had to go through Kairi Sane after Zoey Stark was taken out early. It was a one-on-one showdown and she got it done with a clean Riptide.

More names will be added in the coming weeks. Every one of them will have their own reason to climb the ladder. With Rhea’s popularity and close attempt at Wrestlemania 41, a comeback win against all these powerful ladies would be iconic and open up amazing possibilities for defense matches.

WWE Money in the Bank streams live Saturday, June 7 at 7 PM Eastern and 4 PM Pacific on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally. Tickets are on sale now. Don’t miss it.
