HENDERSON, NV. — The Las Vegas Aces have made a significant splash in the WNBA offseason, signing two-time WNBA scoring champion Jewell Loyd and former Virginia Tech standout Elizabeth Kitley. The moves bolster an already talented Aces roster, positioning the team for a strong run in the upcoming season.
Loyd, a 5-10 guard, brings a wealth of experience and scoring punch to the Aces. A four-time WNBA All-Star, she has averaged over 17 points per game throughout her career. Loyd’s ability to create her own shot and score from anywhere on the court will provide a significant boost to the Aces’ offense.
Kitley, a 6-5 center, was a dominant force in the ACC during her time at Virginia Tech. She averaged over 18 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior, earning her a spot on the All-ACC First Team. Kitley’s size, strength, and rebounding ability will provide a strong presence in the paint for the Aces.
The additions of Loyd and Kitley demonstrate the Aces’ commitment to building a championship-caliber roster. With a strong core already in place, the team is poised to make a deep run in the WNBA playoffs.
