The first day of quarterfinals took place at the College Basketball Crown, and we hit triple digits! Boise State is the only team to reach triple digits in the tournament so far. Now, the Broncos will advance to the semifinals and play in T-Mobile Area on Saturday. Who will they play next?

Boise State Broncos 100 – Butler Bulldogs 93

Boise State and Butler have met just once before on the court. The Bulldogs took the win first, but the Broncos evened up the all-time series with tonight’s win. For just the second time this season, the Broncos scored 100 points.

While Javan Buchanan led Boise State with 27 points, Tyson Degenhart eclipsed 2,000 career points with his 21 scored tonight. The Broncos excelled in points off turnovers (17-7), second-chance points (15-7) and steals (6-3).

For Butler, Finley Bizjack scored a career-high 30 points. The team’s 13 made three-pointers tied their season-high. The Bulldogs shot 57.6% from the field, which is the team’s second-best performance of the season.

Nebraska Huskers 81 – Georgetown Hoyas 69

Nebraska husked away the Hoyas after a strong first half despite Georgetown’s 45-point second-half rally.

Nebraska led 34-24 after 20 minutes of play and a 46.15% FG compared to Georgetown’s 29.03%. Each team had a single standout shooter– Brice Williams on Nebraska with 28 points and Malik Mack on Georgetown with 25 points. Juwan Gary was next up with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskers.

Georgetown’s inconsistency in the first half let the Huskers get a good lead. In fact, the Huskers led for the whole game, except for being tied just once. The team is now 1-0 over the Georgetown Hoyas in the all-time series.
