COSTA MESA, CA. — Day one of Raiders’ training camp is officially in the books. Both quarterbacks looked solid in 11-on-11 drills, even though it’s early, it’s still important to note. Second year QB Aidan O’Connell is battling veteran Gardner Minshew for the starting spot. Obviously there can only be one quarterback on the field, here’s what Aidan O’Connell had to say today about the QB battle after day one of training camp.

Day 1 of Raiders Training Camp:

“I think it’s an interesting role because we are both obviously competing, but we both also want to lead while we’re out there. We’re both going to be vocal and going to try to hold each other accountable and the players around us accountable. I think competition is always going to bring out the best in you and make you really work and see how bad you want to compete and always be at your best.”
