NBA Summer League to Host PlayStation NBA Creator Cup

LAS VEGAS — The PlayStation NBA Creator Cup is heading back to Las Vegas on July 9, bringing together some of the biggest basketball content creators, influencers, and digital personalities for a unique showcase at The Pavilion at UNLV.

The event will be held as part of the opening day festivities of the 2026 NBA Summer League, marking the first time the Creator Cup has been officially integrated into the Summer League schedule. The game will take place following three Summer League contests and will be streamed live on YouTube, the NBA App, and Facebook.

Star-Studded Creator Lineup

This year’s roster features creators with a combined social media audience of more than 115 million followers.

MDMotivator

Zachery Dereniowski, better known as MDMotivator, has gained international recognition through philanthropy-focused content. Inspired by his medical school experiences, he creates videos centered around kindness, generosity, and mental health awareness.

LeeThe4th

A former college basketball player, LeeThe4th has become a popular basketball creator known for his humor, creative content, ball-handling ability, and imposing 6-foot-9 stature.

YPK Raye

Known for blending basketball highlights, skits, and lifestyle vlogs, YPK Raye has built a loyal audience with entertaining content both on and off the court.

Cam Wilder

One of the most recognizable figures in basketball content creation, Cam Wilder rose to prominence through park takeovers, comedy, and coverage of his AAU program, Rod Wave Elite. His energetic personality has made him a fan favorite across social media.

Kris “LSK” London

Serving as a commentator for the event, Strictly Bball has helped develop one of basketball’s fastest-growing media platforms while highlighting talent from the high school ranks through the NBA.

Young Wayne

Returning as an in-arena host, Young Wayne is recognized as a prominent voice in the NBA2K community and hosts a popular basketball podcast.

Competition Format

The 2026 NBA Creator Cup will feature a fast-paced format designed to maximize entertainment and competition.

Teams will battle through three eight-minute periods featuring special gameplay elements, including a two-minute “Turbo Mode” that increases the pace and introduces bonus scoring opportunities.

After the opening three periods, the contest will shift to a target-score ending. The winning score will be set 11 points above the leading team’s total at the conclusion of regulation play.

Fans watching live can also enjoy play-by-play coverage from Joe of Strictly Bball, along with appearances from special guest commentators throughout the event.
