Power Slap 12 Review
You may be thinking, “What’s the buzz about Power Slap?” The answer is simple – it’s an electrifying experience that’s taking the sports and entertainment world by storm. As a fan of high-energy events, I’ve discovered that Power Slap is an absolute must-attend event.
I’ll admit, when I first heard about Power Slap, I was skeptical. I thought it was just another novelty sport that wouldn’t hold my attention. But as I dug deeper, I discovered a community of passionate athletes and fans who are redefining the sport. I was wrong to judge Power Slap so quickly, and I’m excited to share my newfound appreciation with others. This article is an invitation to join the conversation and experience the excitement of Power Slap for yourself.
The Origin Story of Power Slap
Power Slap, a competitive slapping promotion, officially entered the sports scene on January 18, 2023. Founded by Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta, and Craig Piligian, the organization debuted after a brief postponement from its original January 11 start date.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission provided regulatory oversight, lending legitimacy to Power Slap’s presence in the world of competitive sports.
Through its partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Endeavor, and with production expertise provided by Pilgrim Media Group, Power Slap delivered a unique and intense experience for fans.
Now that you’re familiar with Power Slap, I’d like to share my experience at Power Slap 12, which was held at the Fountainbleu Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Here’s a countdown of my top 10 reasons why you should experience Power Slap for yourself:
10. Location

As a Vegas local and sports reporter who attends all sports events, both local and away, I can attest that Power Slap’s location at the FountainBleau Hotel and Casino is ideal. Situated at the center of the Las Vegas Strip, it’s only two miles from the start of the New Las Vegas Strip (Fremont Street). Parking is convenient, with free parking for locals up to three hours, while tourists pay $20. Notably, the FountainBleau is a brand-new, beautiful casino that opened its doors in December 2023.
9. Free to watch on YouTube

Power Slap is free to stream and watch on YouTube. If you can’t make it to Las Vegas or Saudi Arabia, you can stream it for free on YouTube. Additionally, Power Slap offers multilingual support, streaming in four different languages on YouTube. With so many apps and streaming services requiring payment these days, it’s great that Power Slap offers a free and accessible alternative for fans worldwide.
8. Culture

As someone who values events that exude good vibes, energy, and a sense of being alive, I can attest that Power Slap delivers. (Disclaimer: I attended Power Slap 12 as working media.) This experience reminded me of the Marvel movie “Thor: Ragnarok,” where Odin tells his son Thor, “Asgard is not a place, it’s a people.”
Similarly, Power Slap’s environment and culture are deeply rooted in its community – the athletes, fans, and people who make it thrive. Notably, I ran into many friends at the event who I didn’t expect to see there.
7. Venue

The event was held at the FountainBleau Convention Center on the fourth floor. The arena, with a seating capacity of up to 3,500 people, offers an immersive experience. It’s reminiscent of the movie Fight Club, starring Brad Pitt, but on a much grander scale – elegant and intimate, yet electrifying. The general admission area spans from the floor to several rows high. Set amidst a state-of-the-art ballroom with stunning lighting and fixtures, attendees enjoy an upscale atmosphere. VIPs have access to an open bar and a diverse range of cuisine, including Mexican, Italian, and other options – a far cry from typical event fare. For added convenience, cocktail waitresses take drink orders, allowing guests to stay seated and focused on the action.
6. Bet on Power Slap

You can bet on Power Slap at the casino or online, with the opportunity to win real money.
5. Innovative Format
In Power Slap, competitors engage in a unique form of combat, delivering open-handed slaps to the cheek, between the eye and chin. To emphasize the mental and physical toughness required, defenders must remain still, refraining from flinching, raising their shoulders, or tucking their chin
The competition is governed by strict rules, including time limits for both the striker to deliver the slap and the defender to recover. Typically, fights consist of three rounds, with title bouts extending to five rounds, pushing competitors to their limits.
4. Special Appearances and Surprises

You never know who will be there. Notable attendees have included former England Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback, 7-time Super Bowl Champion, and Raiders minority owner Tom Brady, who has attended Power Slap events in the past. Additionally, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and several of his teammates have also been in attendance. Furthermore, many top influencers and live streamers, representing the top 5% in their field, attended Power Slap 12.
3. Cheap Power Slap Tickets

Power Slap tickets offer an affordable entertainment option, starting at $70 per ticket, including tax. For $140, a pair of tickets provides access to a three-hour event, making it a unique alternative to a typical movie or show.
2. The Power Slappers
