The Las Vegas Aces have been playing their best basketball recently, riding a seven-game winning streak and winning 9 out of their last 10 games. Coming into the Michelob Ultra Arena is another hot team this season, the Atlanta Dream, who have won 8 out of their last 10 games and currently hold the second seed in the WNBA. The last time these two teams met was back in July as the Aces defeated the the Dream 87-72.
During this seven-game winning stretch, the Aces have improved in almost every aspect they were struggling with earlier in the season. A major improvement has been on the defensive side, led by A’ja Wilson, who averages 2 blocks and 2 steals per game. The Aces have also received increased support from their bench, particularly since Jewell Loyd began coming off the bench. Her scoring and shooting efficiency have improved considerably since this change.
The Aces are starting to show flashes of a championship-caliber team and look to continue proving that against a strong Atlanta squad. Just before tip-off, I had the opportunity to conduct an exclusive interview with Kierstan Bell. We discussed her confidence, her impressive performance this season, and much more.
Here is the interview and post game recap:
