
Boxing world champion and pound-for-pound great Terence “Bud” Crawford made a special appearance at the first-ever World Table Tennis U.S. Smash 2025 held in the United States.
Crawford met with the No. 13 player in the world, Dang Qiu, from Germany. Qiu won his matches in the men’s singles round of 64 and round of 32, advancing to the round of 16. He also competed with Benedikt Duda in the men’s doubles round of 32 where they were victorious. Qiu is a former WTT Champions finalist, reaching the Men’s Singles final at the WTT Champions Macao 2024.
Crawford is no stranger to Las Vegas. He has a fight coming up at Allegiant Stadium against Canelo Alvarez on September 13, 2025. Crawford is 41-0 in his career.
The World Table Tennis U.S. Smash 2025 is being held at the Orleans Area in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event features men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles. The prize money for the event is $1.55 million.
