HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed first-round draft pick RB Ashton Jeanty, the club announced Thursday.
Jeanty was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 5-foot-8, 211-pound running back played in 40 career games over three seasons at Boise State (2022-24), amassing 4,769 rushing yards and 50 rushing touchdowns on 750 career rushes (6.4 avg.). He also added 80 career receptions for 862 yards (10.8 avg.) and six touchdowns.
As a junior in 2024, Jeanty was the Heisman trophy runner-up and a unanimous All-American after leading the NCAA with 2,601 rushing yards, the second most in a single season in FBS history – only behind Barry Sanders (2,628). He also established an FBS record with 14 games of 100-plus rushing yards, while his 29 rushing touchdowns were the second-most in the NCAA and tied for seventh in FBS history, and his 2,739 yards from scrimmage ranked first in the NCAA and the third-most in FBS history.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Jeanty attended Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, where as a senior he recorded 1,843 yards on 229 carries and 810 yards on 41 receptions, while scoring 41 total touchdowns (31 rushing and 10 receiving).
