“The Hurricanes-Gators game was great for the city of Orlando.” -Charlie Williams

The Miami Hurricanes fell to in-state rival No. 8 Florida on Saturday night, 24-20, in what was a closely contested game.

The Hurricanes held the lead midway through the fourth quarter, but ultimately the Gators pulled out the victory due in large part to a 65-yard strike from Feleipe Franks to Josh Hammond, which set up a three-yard touchdown run by Franks to cap the drive and ultimately give UF the lead and the victory.

Mike Dixon caught up with World Sports Alumni’s CEO Charlie Williams at Aces Cafe in Orlando for Brandon Meriweather’s Miami Hurricanes vs. Florida Gators watch party. Williams told Vegas Sports Daily that, “we plan on expanding our world-class athletes to Las Vegas in the coming months led by Shelley Williams.” Be on the lookout for some big names in boxing joining our alum, along with current members Riddick Bowe, Pinklon Thomas, and many more.
