Undefeated fighter Israel Adesanya has all the potential to be UFC’s next big superstar. 2018 was an amazing year for Adesanya he made his debut in UFC winning all four of his fights and was in the talks of being fighter of the year. This year has been no different becoming the UFC middleweight interim champion after having classic match against Kelvin Gastelum.
There has been one question, “is he ready to fight Jon Jones?”. Adesanya has said “he’s (Jones) going to get this work, but not until I’m ready” during his interview on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show also expressing how he still learning and his guard game is still getting ready. These two also had an exchange words over social media, with Adesanya calling Jones a bully . It’s very important that this fight happens at the right time but there are fighters that Israel should fight before Jones.
As the Middleweight interim champion that mean most likely his next fight will be against Robert Whittaker for the UFC Middleweight champion. Which Whittaker is no push over with being the bigger fighter with a lot of power this can be a tough fight for Adesanya. If he can defeat whittaker there are a couple of guys that are in line for a title shot. Yoel Romero, Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Souza or even Rematches against Whittaker and Gastelum before the fight with Jones. With all that being said if he can stay on top when the time comes for Israel Adesanya to fight Jon Jones the fight world will be ready and waiting.
