UNLV stays White Hot, Gets 16th win on the season over Broncos

Senior Night, you just beat the last undefeated team in the nation, so what are you going to do for an encore you ask? Well, let’s just say that the Runnin’ Rebels continued there winning ways on Wednesday night, by beating yet another solid conference opponent with a winning record by knocking off the Boise St. Broncos 76-66 in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack center.

After knocking off the No. 4 team in the Nation and the last unbeaten team in the nation the San Diego State Aztecs, this past Saturday night, I am pretty sure a lot of us were wondering what they would do for an encore. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

Amauri Hardy and Bryce Hamilton came through huge tonight and combined for 46 of UNLV’s 76 points as the Rebels got a huge double digit win over the Boise St. Broncos. Hamilton ended the game with 22 points on 7-of-22 shooting with 8 rebounds. Hardy had a team and game high of (22 points) on 9-of-13 shooting, including 3 pointers adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Now after winning their fourth straight game, the Rebels now sit at (16-14) overall and 11-6 in the Mountain West Conference. With the Mountain West Conference tourney just a few days away the Rebels are getting hot at the right time. Can the Rebels continue this hot run and make some noise in the Mountain West Tourney and win the whole thing?

Even make the ‘Big Dance’ and make some noise there? Crazy? Yes, I know, but hey, you never know. Up Next for the Runnin Rebels is their final game of the regular season as they head to San Jose and take on the Spartans. Can the Rebels continue their winning ways? We’ll find out, this Saturday night.
