UNLV Football to host Cal, ASU at Allegiant Stadium in 2020

The UNLV Rebels will try to channel the attitude and swagger of the Las Vegas Raiders for their home games this season.

If they can convert a bit of the Raiders glory years energy into quality wins this season that would be icing on the cake for new Head Coach Marcus Arroyo and Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois

As part of their six-game home schedule, the UNLV Rebels football team will host Arizona State in Las Vegas on September 12 for the first time ever at the brand new $2-billion Allegiant Stadium. Their other home game, against Louisiana Tech, will be held at Sam Boyd Stadium on September 5.

“We are extremely appreciative of the Raiders organization for working with us on hosting the Arizona State game at Allegiant Stadium,” said Reed-Francois in a release to the press. “Our community is energized behind new head coach Marcus Arroyo and his team as they move into one of the greatest sports facilities in the world and getting to host two Pac-12 Conference opponents there this fall will make it an even better experience for our fans and student-athletes.”

Also announced, the Rebels game against Colorado State has been shifted from Saturday, October 24 to Friday, October 23.

Arroyo and the Rebels begin their season on August 29 by hosting the California Golden Bears, which will be the first meeting between the two schools.
