The Raiders sign another founding partner deal as tribal casino becomes the Official Southern California Casino of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas may be the legal gaming capital of the world but the Raiders latest gambling-rich sponsor isn’t from Nevada, they’re from California.
At a private event Monday at the Raiders Preview Center in Las Vegas, the team announced the deal with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians for the exclusive founding partner designation. The deal means the San Manuel Casino will be designated as a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium and a proud sponsor of the Raiders starting with the 2020 season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are pleased to have San Manuel Casino as a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium,” said Raiders President Marc Badain. “Together we remain aligned in our dedication to providing our fans with the best-in-class experience.”
The Highland, California casino is no stranger to sponsoring professional sports as it supports nine other professional sports teams with major sponsorships including the NFL, NHL, MLB and MLS – including with the Vegas Golden Knights.
“The popularity of the Raiders in Southern California is unmatched,” said Loren Gill, CEO of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. “Through this partnership, we are thrilled to offer our guests more access to high-quality sports and entertainment.”
It’s the Raiders second gaming partner after Caesars Entertainment became the team’s first major – and gaming – client to sign on in November 2018.
Badain also said more gaming deals could be in the works as the pace of sponsors should quicken ahead of the 65,000-seat stadium’s completion date of July 31, 2020.
