Raiders Promote WR Saeed Blacknall

VEGAS (November 14, 2018) – The Oakland Raiders have elevated WR Saeed Blacknall to the active roster from the practice squad, the club announced Wednesday.

Blacknall, a 6-foot-2, 208-pound receiver originally signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State (2014-17). As a Nittany Lion, Blacknall played in 48 contests and made 15 starts, totaling 50 receptions for 979 yards (19.6 avg.) and seven touchdowns, while garnering All-Academic Big Ten honors three times. Blacknall appeared in all four exhibition games in the preseason for the club.

Additionally, the club has signed WR Rashard Davis and WR ArDarius Stewart to the practice squad.

Davis, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound wide receiver out of James Madison, was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL Draft where he spent his rookie season on the club’s practice squad. Davis earned FCS All-American honors in 2016 with the Dukes after posting a conference record four touchdowns on punt returns.

Stewart is a former third-round selection (79th overall) by the New York Jets in the 2017 NFL Draft. A 5-foot-11, 204-pound wide receiver out of Alabama, Stewart appeared in 15 contests in his rookie campaign with the Jets, making two starts and compiling six receptions for 82 yards. As a member of the Crimson Tide (2014-16), he appeared in 40 games and made 29 starts over his career, recording 129 receptions for 1,713 yards and 12 scores.
