The Raiders don’t let up in the free agent market, as they add wide receiver Tyrell Williams to a four-year, $44 million deal. He is the second wide receiver the Raiders have added this offseason, as he will join Antonio Brown. Williams will slot into the WR 2 role and play outside the hashes as the Raiders deep threat.

The former Western Oregon wide out went un-drafted in 2015. Therefore after, he signed with the San Diego Chargers as an un-drafted free-agent. Williams played four seasons as a member of the Chargers, where he posted one 1,000-yard receiving season. His value was deeply diminished by being overshadowed by other pass catcher on the Chargers.
When Williams got the ball in his hands, he brought quality productivity. His ability to streak down the field is obvious, as he’s averaged 16.3 yards per catch over his NFL career. By adding Williams, opposing teams will have to cover two legitimate outside receivers and can’t just lock onto the seven-time pro bowler, Antonio Brown.
Over Williams career, he hauled in 155 catches for 2,530-yards and 17 touchdowns. His best season came during his second year in the league, when he caught 69 passes for 1,059-yards and seven touchdowns in 2016.
Williams should be used constantly inside the red zone to fully utilize his large frame. He’s a taller receiver that towers over most corner backs, as he’s listed at 6’4″ 205 pounds. He generates mismatches for the defenders, as he can win the 50/50 ball and fly past defenders with his blazing speed.
