New York Islanders vs Vegas Golden Knights

The New York Islanders travel to T-Mobile Arena on Thursday night looking to build on their three game win-streak.

The Vegas Golden Knights will look to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets in their last outing.

The game was a scoreless tie through the opening 20 minutes and there was still no action on the board after the 2nd period.

Columbus finally broke the deadlock in the opening minute of the final frame and try as they might, Vegas couldn’t find the back of the net with any of their 28 shots on goal, including 14 of which came in the 3rd period.

Tomas Nosek, Jonathan Marchessault, Paul Stastny and Alex Tuch each had 3 shots on goal in the losing effort. Malcolm Subban took the hard luck loss, falling to (0-5-0) this season after giving up the lone goal on 31 shots in the losing effort.
The New York Islanders will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after a 3-1 win over Arizona in their last outing.
Arizona opened the scoring, but the Islanders would shut that down as Josh Ho-Sang tied the game before the end of the period giving us a 1-1 tie after 20 minutes.
Brock Nelson and Anthony Beauvillier would each bury in the 2nd period to give the Isles the 3-1 lead that they would hold onto the rest of the way to pick up the win.
Robin Lehner got the win to improve to 5-6-3 this season after stopping 36 of 37 shots in the winning effort.
