On Tuesday the Vegas Lights FC played California FC in the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Cashman Field. In the 13′ the Lights Sammy Ochoa started the scoring when he took a pass from Edwin Rivas and put it in the back of the net. The Lights defense led by Panzani Sousa and Christian Torres thwarted every attack that Cal FC would try to mount.
In the 50′ Victor Rojas got the crowd roaring when he put the ball past Kevin Marquez making it 2-0 Lights. The game then became very physical as the Las Vegas Lights frustrated Cal FC. A total of six yellow cards and two red cards were given (all in the second half).
