Pro Picks: Straight Up/Moneyline
Mike Patton of Titans Wire:
Minnesota over NY Jets
The Jets are hit and miss offensively and the Vikings are clicking offensively. I would take the sure offensive team over the enigmatic one in this game.
Pick: Minnesota Vikings.
Kansas City over Cincinnati
Cincy has been solid all season and so has Kansas City, but with an explosive offense, home field advantage and a defense that will not he happy after their trip to New England, the Chiefs will handle business.
Pick: Kansas City Chiefs.
Atlanta over New York Giants
The Falcons aren’t themselves this season but neither are the Giants. Add in the fact the Giants cannot protect Eli and its gonna get Bubba Sparxxx ugly for Eli and crew.
Pick: Atlanta Falcons
Melissa Ferris of Girl Chat Sports:
Jacksonville Jaguars over the Houston Texans.
Kansas City Chiefs over Cincinnati Bengals.
Upset: Chicago Bears over New England Patriots.
Fago Franklin of Pro Player Insiders:
New England Patriots over Chicago Bears.
The Patriots will defeat the Bears. The Bears will have trouble stopping Gronk, as their run defense looks suspect over the last two games. New England is a more balanced team, because of their running attack, which will set up big plays down the field. The Bears have struggled offensively in the first quarter. In order for them to win this game, they have to score touchdowns and not field goals.
Prediction: Patriots win 24-10.
New Orleans Saints over Baltimore Ravens.
The Saints are hitting their stride with big plays down the field. However, their secondary is a little banged up. They will do just enough to beat the Ravens.
Prediction: Saints 34-30.
Philadelphia Eagles over Carolina Panthers.
The Eagles’ secondary has had so many problems, from missed tackles, to missed assignments, however when they are in the redzone, they score at least 80% of the time.
Prediction: Eagles 24-21.
Homer Pick of the Week
Mike Dixon of Vegas Sports Daily:
The Oakland Raiders have a bye week, so I chose this game instead.
Miami Dolphins over Detroit Lions.
Ryan Tannehill is out for at least two weeks, according to reports in South Florida. –And Miami’s backup quarterback (Brock Osweiler) was solid as a “Brock” in his debut for the Dolphins over Chicago (last week). Detroit heads to Hard Rock Stadium with head coach Matt Patricia, where the Dolphins offense averaged (23.8 PPG) against his defense over the last six games.
Pick: Miami Dolphins
Indianapolis Colts over Buffalo Bills.
The Bills at 2-4 have a better record than Frank Reich’s 1-5 Colts, yet the home team is a 7.5-point favorite. Vegas believes the Colts are 4.5 points better than Buffalo beyond the standard home team three-point margin that is typically built into the spread.
Pick: Indianapolis Colts
Los Angeles Rams over San Francisco 49ers.
The San Francisco 49ers, do not have enough fire power to stop this high-octane Rams’ offense. Los Angeles remains undefeated after Sunday, Rams continue their seven-game win streak.
Pick: Los Angeles Rams.
