With both the hated Kansas City Chiefs and former Bay Area rival San Francisco 49ers facing off in Miami Sunday, Raiders fans need something else they can cheer for. Enter Super Bowl prop bets.
This will be a bittersweet Super Bowl Sunday for most Raiders fans as it’s not easy to watch a football game that not only do you not care who wins, but you actively want both teams to somehow lose. But, thanks to the folks in sports gaming, I have the NFL Super Bowl prop bets to help soothe your pain and make the game more interesting for you
If someone tells you that gambling doesn’t make everything better, you should immediately kick them out of your life because you don’t need that kind of negativity. With all NFL Super Bowl prop bets, there are two different types you can make: fun ones and serious ones.
Here are a few that I will put my own hard-earned cash behind and think you should check it out if you’re looking to make this disaster of a matchup worth watching.
Note: All of the props listed will be available in Las Vegas sportsbooks, so you will notice some of the stranger props like Gatorade color and National Anthem props are missing.
I for one gave up on the National Anthem prop when Christina Aguilera found a way to screw up the lyrics and bring chaos to the gambling world. We still don’t know what happened but your sportsbook made a decision that may or may not sit well with you.
You will also notice that I will not be betting on if a team score three unanswered times prop this year. I should bet it because the “yes” hits every damn year but I can’t stop taking the plus money on no. Losing this bet on the LSU vs. Clemson National Championship game was the last straw for me.
So here are my NFL Super Bowl prop bets starting with the wacky and fun variety. Unless noted all lines will be -110:
The only thing dumber than betting a coin toss is laying juice to do it. That said, if you don’t bet the coin toss you are dead to me as a gambler.
Players with a pass attempt over 2.5 +130
Call me crazy, but I could definitely see either Emmanuel Sanders or Deebo Samuel throwing one to cash this prop. I actually have a bet with a friend that the first touchdown of the Super Bowl will be a Samuel TD pass to Kittle. If this happens I will be calling into the radio show from my own private island.
