Week 1 of the NFL season saw some upsets (Pittsburgh) as well as your run-of-the-mill favorite wins for sports bettors. As the season moves along, the action takes on some crazy twists and turns but there are always NFL bets that stand out amongst the week’s plays.

Here’s my 3 NFL best for Week 2 of the 2021 season:

Seattle Seahawks vs Tennessee Titans

NFL bets Russell Wilson

Julio Jones didn’t look like the X-Factor many expected in his Titan debut last week but Seattle isn’t nearly as strong as Arizona in the secondary. This has all the makings of a high-scoring game after Russell Wilson threw 4 TDs against Indianapolis and Tyler Lockett caught for 100 yards. Tennessee had trouble containing Kyler Murray in their Week 1 loss and things won’t get any easier against Wilson. Seattle’s secondary will have their hands full with A.J. Brown and Julio Jones as well. If Ryan Tannehill continues to be inaccurate and Seattle’s defense can find success, things could get out of hand fast. Out of this week’s NFL bets, this looks like a Grade-A winner.

David’s NFL Bets Prediction: Seattle Seahawks -6

New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers

NFL bets Jameis Winston

The Saints looked more than impressive after a Week 1 statement win against a Packers team many predicted to make a Super Bowl run. Christian McCaffrey could have some success with David Onyemata suspended but the Saints have too many options on offense. The Saints defense held Green Bay to just 43 rushing yards while McCaffrey alone had 98 yards against the Jets. Jameis Winston has looked impressive in all his appearances if you include preseason, throwing an astounding 5 TDs on only 20 attempts, becoming the first QB in history to do so. Carolina, on the other hand, limited the Jets to 14 points and blanked them in the first half. Derrick Brown, Haason Reddick and Brian Burns combined for 3.5 of the team’s six sacks on Sunday’s win over the Jets. Pressuring Jameis Winston will be the key to victory for Carolina, but the Saints offensive line had few holes in their game against the Packers and they come into Sunday’s game as winners of 5 of the last 6 meetings with the Panthers. When making your NFL bets in Week 2, it’s a good move to ask: Who dat?

David’s NFL Bets Prediction: New Orleans Saints -3

Las Vegas Raiders vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Maxx Crosby NFL bets

It’s a crucial game for both teams as the Raiders can prove their upset of Baltimore wasn’t a fluke and Pittsburgh can start their home slate with a win as 4-of-their-next-5 games will be at Heinz Field. The Steelers offense was asleep until the 4th quarter in their win at Buffalo and likewise, the Raiders played their best football when they needed it most in the second half against Baltimore. Derek Carr threw 56 passes against Baltimore in Week 1 and without Josh Jacobs, expect the Silver and Black to utilize the passing game in Pittsburgh as well. T.J. Watt had two sacks against Buffalo and he’ll be a threat to Derek Carr in the pocket. Carr was accurate when it mattered most and we’ll likely see Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow continue their success into Week 2. Expect a raucous crowd at Heinz Field and the Silver and Black to keep their offensive momentum going to keep things close. The last four meetings between these two teams have all been decided by three points each.

David’s NFL Bets Prediction: Las Vegas Raiders +6.5
