Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs (39) is called for pass interference on a pass intended for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal (14) on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, during a game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Fresh off a huge win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Las Vegas Raiders just can’t get out of their own way off the field.

That now includes another arrest on DUI charges.

According to TMZ Sports, rookie Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested early Monday morning after witnesses say they saw him asleep at the wheel of his vehicle on a parking lot exit ramp.

“Our sources say officers made contact with the football player … and eventually arrested him after they claim he did not do well in field sobriety tests,” the report reads.

The 22-year-old defensive back was booked into the Clark County Detention Center around 6:38 AM while being charged with one acount of misdemeanor DUI. He was reportedly in the process of being released from custody with a court date set for May.

This situation surrounding Nate Hobbs comes just two month after former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs was accused of drunk driving in an incident that killed a 23-year-old woman by the name of Tina Tintor. Ruggs was ultimately charged with two felony DUI counts, among other felonies, and faces over 50 years in prison. He was promptly released by the Raiders.

This is not the news these Raiders wanted to hear as they returned home to Vegas from Indianapolis Sunday evening. Boasting a 9-7 record on the season, they can clinch a playoff spot with a home win over the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday night on national television.
