The Raiders biggest needs on offense come at the wide receiver and tight end position. Despite, the free agent class of wide receivers this offseason being very thin. Using one of their early draft selections for a game-changing vertical threat might not be such a bad option for the silver and black. The Raiders may also look to bring in a new running back if Marshawn Lynch decides to call it quits and retire. Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin and Jalen Richard are all free agents, just leaving the Raiders with DeAndre Washington and Chris Warren as the only running backs left on their roster. Neither of them have any experience in the NFL as an every down running back.

The Raiders defense is full with position openings, looking for starters to fill their role. Last offseason Gruden took on a multitude of one-year contracts, leaving this offseason with a lot of holes to fill. By doing so, the Raiders currently have $69 million in cap space to spend on free agents and their draft picks. The Raiders are desperate for pass rushers on their defense line, as they finished last in the NFL with 13 sacks in 2018. The Raiders also gave up 381-yards per game to opposing teams with their depleted secondary. One of their early draft selections will likely be a defensive back to help sure up the backend of the defense.

(Special Teams)

P- Johnny Townsend

The Raiders special teams unit in 2018 was hit with injuries and unexperienced players all season. They went through five place kickers from training camp to the end of the regular season. Rookie punter Johnny Townsend struggled flipping the field for the defense. The Raiders will likely have a competitive training camp with multiple kickers and punters battling for the starting nod, come week 1.
