Graphic designer releases concept jerseys for Henderson Silver Knights AHL team

Mike Dixon

The Henderson Silver Knights announced today that they will unveil their inaugural home and away team jerseys with a 30-minute live-streamed special on Monday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. PT. The announcement will be televised live on KSNV-NBC (News 3) Las Vegas and streamed live across the Silver Knights and Golden Knights content networks including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch.

We caught up with local designer Justin Lomp to see how close his concept-jerserys are to the official jersey reveal.

VSD: How did you come up with this mock Henderson Silverknights jersey?

JL: “The one I just posted is a conceptual mock-up for the Henderson Silver Knights. The team has announced it will be revealed in December, so we shall see how close my version is to the actual one.”

VSD: What inspired the alternate Vegas Golden Knights jersey?

JL: “The red one is supposedly the fourth jersey the Vegas Golden Knights are going to release and use. It’s supposed to be a throwback retro jersey. An ode to the Las Vegas Thunder of the 1990’s. This will be the first jersey the team will be using with the secondary logo on the chest rather than the shoulder. SinBinVegas posted a 2D drawing of the jersey and I decided to make a 3D so people can see what it really looks like. The red jersey has been getting some heat on social media. I think it’s going to be dope if this is actually it.”

The Jersey Knight stream hosted on the VGK and HSK content networks is presented by: Green Valley Grocery, Lifeguard, a BT Supplies West Company, Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing and Toyota.

“We’re incredibly proud of the end results of our official Henderson Silver Knights jerseys,” said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. “We wanted to create something that looks just as good in day-to-day life as it does on the ice. Our fans have wholeheartedly embraced the Silver Knights from day one and after months of anticipation we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on.”
