The Minnesota Wild walked out of T-Mobile Arena with a 4-2, victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night.

After the game concluded the team announced the following roster moves.

Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, January 21, the following roster transaction: the team has acquired a fifth round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for defenseman Brad Hunt and a sixth round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

Minnesota agreed to trade Vegas the better pick (i.e. the lower overall pick number) between Minnesota’s own 2019 fifth round draft pick and Washington’s 2019 fifth round pick (previously acquired by Minnesota).

During his two-year stint in Vegas, Hunt appeared in 58 games and finished with 25 points (5 G, 20 A) to go with eight penalty minutes. During his six years in the NHL, Hunt has appeared in 91 games and has recorded 34 points (7 G, 27 A) and, prior to joining Vegas, spent time with Edmonton, Nashville and St. Louis.
