The Vegas Golden Knights still have a few moves to make to get under the Salary Cap. This move was not much of a surprise as Colin Miller has been rumored to be on the Trading Block for a few weeks. Colin Millers hard slap shot will be missed but it was a necessary move to be able to form the 2019-2020 Roster. On Thursday George McPhee alluded to more trades happening in the next few days and by mid day Friday the next domino in fact happened. The question now will be……..Who is Next to be Traded????
Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, June 28, the following roster transaction: the team has acquired a second-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, originally belonging to the St. Louis Blues, and a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Colin Miller.
McPhee will be available to media following the final scrimmage of the Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp presented by Martin-Harris Construction on Saturday, June 29 at City National Arena.
Over the course of two seasons with the Golden Knights, Miller appeared in 147 games after being selected by the team during the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft from the Boston Bruins.
