First buzzer beater in a NBA game 7 series

Toronto- With four seconds left and a chance to either win the game or go into overtime, Kawhi Leonard put the Toronto Raptors on his back. Leonard caught the inbounds pass, dribble to the right wing, created separation from two defenders that double-teamed him, as he shot a difficult midrange jumper. The ball bounced a couple of times on the rim and went in. Everybody from fans, teammates, as well as the arena exploded, as the Raptors won in dramatic fashion over the Philadelphia 76ers 92-90.

This was the first time that a game 7 series was decided by a game-winning shot at the end of regulation. While Raptors’s fans were shocked and excited to be one step closer to reaching the NBA Finals, the 76ers were heartbroken. Joel Embiid was seen crying, as well as other players. Head coach for the 76ers Brett Brown felt this loss was a life learning lesson for Embiid, as well as for other players. “This heartbreaking loss will sting for a bit, but I think this will be a learning lesson for our team. We will come back stronger and want it more, said Brown.”

Leanard has averaged 30.3 points in the series against the 76ers and put this team on his back. After the win, Leonard said that the Bucks are a good team and they will be ready for the challenge. The stage is set; Raptors versus the Bucks for the chance of being in the NBA Finals

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 8:00 PM E.T.
