Dugout Mugs, which showed off its wares at the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) 2021 Conference and Tradeshow this week, turns baseball bats into drinking mugs.
The ALSD conference took place over for three days this week, providing education and tours of state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venues, including Allegiant Stadium. Dugout Mugs, which is licensed by Major League Baseball, MiLB, the Hall of Fame and MLPBA, is based in Central Florida.
Their products include mugs from the Las Vegas Aviators, nearby Reno Aces, and local MLB favorite Oakland A’s. The A’s are considering a move to Las Vegas.
The company started in 2016 when Founder and President Randall Thompson turned his baseball dream into the American Dream and doubled down on a business idea. After being cut from the Toronto Blue Jays organization, Thompson returned to coach at his alma mater, Florida Tech.
It was there he first hollowed out the barrel of the bat and realized he could turn it into a drinking mug. Their standard Dugout Mug, Wined Up, Knob Shot and Season Opener are all fully customizable and can be found in more than 30 MLB Stadiums and in seven countries.
Your favorite team’s logo, a family photo, or a heartfelt message can be laser engraved into the wood. Dugout Mugs are often bought as gifts for loved ones because they can be much more than a mug, they represent memories.
“From the quality and uniqueness of the products to the individual customer experience, we tried to revolutionize what it meant to buy a gift for a baseball fan,” Thompson said. “When someone needs the best baseball gifts, they come to us!” This July, they launched a brand new Metal Dugout Mug, which is available for pre-sale now and is modeled after old-school aluminum bats.
“It’s beautiful,” Thompson said. “We all think our kids are good-looking, right? But, really, when you get one of these Metal Dugout Mugs in your hand, you will see what I am saying.”
