It was a tale of two halves at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas between 3’s Company and Killer Threes, but 3’s Company was able to emerge victorious, winning 52-45 despite not holding the lead through the first half in BIG3 basketball action. The league is back in Las Vegas for the next two weeks.
Jeremy Pargo led the comeback for 3’s Company, netting a game-leading 22 points on the night, including a crucial 4 point shot to tie the game at 34.
The Killer Threes got out to an early 8-0 lead, and dominated the first half of this BIG3 basketball league game. 3’s Company tried multiple times to cut the deficit, but the Killer Threes fought them off each time. Threes Company managed to cut the lead to four at one point in the first half, but Killer Threes surged ahead yet again, heading into halftime with a 25-16 lead.
The halftime break did not help the Killer Threes, who came out of the locker room flat and allowed 3’s Company back into the game with a 10-5 run to start the half. Franklin Session fought valiantly to preserve the advantage, leading the Threes with 20 points, but Pargo’s four-point shot to tie the game would be the last time the Threes led on the night.
Pargo’s four-pointer sparked a 13 point run for 3’s Company, giving them a 44-35 advantage before draining a two-point bucket to advance to match point. The Killer Threes fought to the end, rallying to make it a three-point game before 3’s Company was able to drain one final four-pointer to take home the win.
With the BIG3 basketball victory, Three’s Company improves to 1-1 on the season, while Killer Threes fall to 0-2. They will try to earn their first win against the Aliens next week, while 3’s Company will try to build a winning streak against 3 Headed Monster.
