Andre Iguodala elected Vice President of the National Basketball Players Association

Vegas- Golden State Warriors’ veteran Andre Iguodala will step in and take the Vice President position with the National Basketball Players Association, as  LeBron James’ term comes to an end. “I am honored to be chosen by my peers to step into this position and take on a larger responsibility within the NBPA,” remarked Iguodala.

“I look forward to continuing my work with (NBPA executive director) Michele (Roberts), Chris Paul and the Executive Committee to accomplish the best possible outcomes for the union and our future members,” continued the well-respected NBA vet on his newly appointed position.

There will be also be other new faces added to the Vice President position on the executive committee, as Carmelo Anthony and Steph Curry’s term ended as well. Milwaukee guard Malcolm Brogdon, Boston guard Jaylen Brown and Charlotte center Bismack Biyombo will serve their terms immediately.

“Malcolm, Jaylen, and Bismack have all shown a great commitment to the union since they arrived in the league,” Paul said in a statement. “I have no doubt they will bring a fresh perspective and passion to the Executive Committee and I am excited to start working with them,” commented the current Players Union President regarding the announcement of the new appointments.
