Aces triumph over Wings in 100+ point victory

The Las Vegas Aces secured their fourth 100+ point victory of the season on Sunday against the Dallas Wings, 106-87, at Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Aces have now won seven straight games.

Las Vegas put up 31 points in the first quarter. Kierstan Bell and A’ja Wilson each recorded nine points. Bell went 3-for-3 in the field and behind the arc. NaLyssa Smith went a perfect 4-for-4 at the charity stripe. Maddy Siegrist led the Wings with nine points. Dallas made it an intense 10 minutes as they tallied 27 points.

Bell’s perfection continued in the second quarter. She made one shot in the field and one at the three-point line. Chelsea Gray had 10 points and two assists in the quarter. Wilson recorded another nine points. The Aces made 24 points and Dallas made 17 to put the game at 55-44 at halftime.

Both teams improved on their second-quarter runs after halftime. The Aces scored 26 points, with 14 of them coming from Wilson. Wilson was the lone free-throw shooter of the quarter, making 8-of-11. Jewell Loyd popped off behind the arc with three three-pointers. Dallas kept strong in the field, but still fell behind 66-81.

Smith led the Aces in the final quarter, going a perfect 4-for-4 in the field and 2-for-2 behind the arc. Bell was right behind with six points of her own. Las Vegas beat the Wings 106-87.

Wilson led the game with 34 points. This marks her eighth 30+ point game of the season, which leads the league. Siegrist had 23 points for Dallas. Bell tallied 18 points. Gray recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. She tied the franchise record and her career high for most assists in a game.
