Las Vegas Aces Draft
Iliana Rupert F France
Rupert is an international prospect from France; she is exceptional in the post. Rupert can finish over both shoulders in post-up situations as well as finish with both hands. She also moves well without the basketball, which will make her an exceptional pick and roll player. Rupert has also shown the ability to handle the ball in the open floor and looks very athletic. Ruppert will give the Aces frontcourt depth.
Destiny Slocum PG Arkansas
Slocum averaged 15 points per game and shot 39% from three-point land. Slocum can is good at creating shots for her teammates as well as for herself. She could be a good fit off the bench for the Aces with her shooting and play-making.
Kionna Jeter Guard Towson
Jeter was the first player in Towson history to be drafted in the WNBA. She is an athletic guard who averaged 23 points per game and shot 34% from beyond the arc. Jeter is also an outtsanding defender. Jeter was the 2020-21 CAA Preseason Player of the Year and is the first Tiger to earn three consecutive All-CAA First Team selections as well as back-to-back CAA All-Defensive Team honors.
The Aces did well in the draft, got what they needed frontcourt help and outside shooting. If Slocum and Jeter have a good training camp, they could make the team. Las Vegas could use youthfulness in the backcourt. The Aces currently have 13 players on their roster.
